Redeemer Lutheran Church of Dickinson has six “Elders” serving the Congregation.  They are elected by the membership. Elders in our church are primarily spiritual leaders in the congregation.
The duties are :

1. Responsible for worship services.
2. Certify that the “Word of God” is purely preached and taught according to the “HOLY BIBLE”
and the Lutheran Confessions.
3. Insure that the Holy Sacraments of Christ are administered according to HIS institution.
4. Provide for the proper Christian instruction of our congregation.
5. To inspire all members in Christian FAITH and LOVE.
6. Encourage the strong, and admonish the weak and erring.

The Congregation of Redeemer Lutheran should be able to look upon the Elders as examples of wisdom and patience.  Elders should be knowledgeable of the true message of the “HOLY BIBLE.“.  Elders should be familiar with all Lutheran Confessions.  Elders must be of sterling character and of reputation worthy of this office.
